Do you provide free estimates?
Yes. We provide estimates for most repair, maintenance, and installation projects. Depending on the scope of work, an on-site inspection may be required before a final estimate can be prepared.
What areas do you service?
We serve boat owners throughout Greater Vancouver, including North Vancouver, West Vancouver, Vancouver, Richmond, Delta, Port Moody, and surrounding marinas and yacht clubs. We’ve also served customers from Vancouver island and from the United States.
Do you offer mobile marine services?
Yes. Our mobile service team can perform many repairs, installations, detailing services, polishing, waxing, and maintenance tasks directly at your marina, yacht club, or private dock.
Do I need to haul my boat out of the water?
Not always. Many services can be completed dockside. However, bottom paint, underwater repairs, zinc replacement, and certain fiberglass or painting projects typically require a haul-out.
Can you arrange haul-outs and launches?
Yes. We regularly coordinate haul-outs, blocking, launches, and vessel handling with local marinas and boatyards.
What types of boats do you work on?
We work on powerboats, yachts, sailboats, fishing vessels, inflatables, and commercial vessels of various sizes.
What fiberglass repairs can you perform?
We repair stress cracks, impact damage, delamination, structural damage, dock rash, gelcoat damage, and other fiberglass-related issues. Repairs range from minor cosmetic work to major structural restorations.
Can you match my gelcoat colour?
Yes. We perform gelcoat colour matching to achieve the closest possible match to your vessel’s existing finish.
What bottom paint products do you use?
We use premium antifouling systems including Interlux Micron and Hempel coatings, selecting the most suitable product based on your vessel, usage, and existing coating system.
How often should bottom paint be replaced?
Most vessels require bottom paint maintenance every 1–3 years depending on vessel usage, water conditions, and the coating system currently applied.
Do you replace zinc anodes?
Yes. We inspect and replace shaft, rudder, trim tab, propeller, bow thruster, and other sacrificial anodes as required.
Do you provide detailing, polishing, and waxing services?
Yes. We offer professional washing, detailing, machine polishing, oxidation removal, waxing, and paint sealant services to restore and protect your vessel.
Can you restore teak decks and trim?
Yes. We provide teak cleaning, refinishing, restoration, and maintenance services for decks, swim platforms, steps, and exterior teak components.
Are you an authorized Rainman dealer?
Yes. We are an authorized Canadian dealer for Rainman Watermakers and provide consultation, installation, service, and support.
Do you install Hurley Marine products?
Yes. We supply and install Hurley Marine davits and accessories for dinghies, tenders, and personal watercraft.
Do you offer winter storage?
Yes. We offer secure indoor winter storage as well as winterization, maintenance, repair, and spring commissioning services.
Can you help with insurance claims?
Yes. We can provide damage assessments, repair estimates, photographs, and supporting documentation for insurance-related repairs.
How far in advance should I book?
Booking times vary throughout the year. During the spring and summer season, we recommend contacting us as early as possible to secure your preferred dates.
Do you offer emergency marine services?
Yes. We provide emergency assessments and repair services for fiberglass damage, impact damage, water ingress concerns, and other urgent marine issues.
